Why Miria Recommends: Mother’s Wisdom in a Bottle

Some remedies are more than just effective; they're woven into the fabric of our childhood. For me, that's Cajeput Oil. When I was growing up, my mum used it for all sorts of ailments. Whether I had a sore tummy, a headache, or an insect bite, this was her go-to solution, and its comforting aroma always made me feel cared for. It’s a tradition of wellness I’ve carried with me my entire life.

I find it incredibly effective for clients experiencing digestive discomfort. I use this blend for massage directly on your tummy to help smooth and ease the digestive tracts. It’s highly effective for people who have been dealing with irritable bowel, general digestive issues, constipation, and even period pain. A little goes a long way. I even take this with me in my toilet bag when I'm travelling on a flight or a long journey where my bowel motion has been affected and changed. It's a good companion to relieve discomfort.

What is Cajeput Oil?

Cajeput (pronounced ka-juh-put) oil is an essential oil steam-distilled from the leaves and twigs of the Melaleuca cajuputi tree. This beautiful tree, known for its distinctive flaky white bark, grows mostly in Southeast Asia, especially Indonesia. It has been a cornerstone of traditional wellness in the region for centuries, treasured for its powerful soothing and clarifying properties.

From Childhood Comfort to Clinical Solution

That same oil my mother used on me is now a staple in my clinic. It’s my primary recommendation for those who have a bloated stomach or are dealing with constipation. The oil has a remarkable ability to help the body release trapped gas and soothe abdominal tension. As my mum knew, it’s a powerful "gas removing oil" that helps calm and settle a sore tummy.

What to Expect:

If you’re used to thick, heavy balms, you’ll be surprised by Cajeput Oil.

  • Ready-to-Use Blend: This formula is expertly pre-blended with light, odourless Fractionated Coconut Oil, making it safe and ready for direct use on your skin.

  • Gentle & Effective: It’s more gentle on the skin than many strong eucalyptus or menthol rubs, making it a soothing choice.

  • Light Consistency: It’s beautifully light and runny, with a consistency that allows it to spread easily over large areas and absorb quickly without feeling greasy.

  • Distinct Aroma: It has a distinct, clarifying smell that’s similar to eucalyptus but slightly different—a wonderfully fresh and invigorating scent.

This oil is a true multi-tasker and a piece of my personal history. It's the first thing I reach for to bring comfort and relief, and I’m so happy to share it with you.
